On January 15, 2016 WS Creations relocated to the I AM HAPPY SIM, opening a brand new store. In order to celebrate we had a 3-day promotion taking 50% off the price of every item in the store.
The store was designed with our customers in mind.

How did you feel dancing at WS Creations for their Grand Re-opening?
I was very honored to have been asked to perform and showcase Miss Viara's wonderful design's. She has created some very special piece's and dancing around the store was a very exciting experience for me. I was a bit nervous at the first showing but things ran smoothly after all the kinks were worked out..grins. It was a bit different than dancing on stage but something I would certainly do again. I believe it was a success!
What is Burlesque dancing?
Burlesque dancing has a very rich history. The word “burlesque” comes from the Spanish or Italian word "burla" which means to mock, trick, or joke. The original use of the word burlesque was seen in the 16th and 17th century to describe parodies, and grotesque or ridiculous imitations, often of authors or artists of the time. In the late 19th century, shows featuring what we now call "striptease" started appearing simultaneously and independently in both America and Paris. In the 1920's and 30's striptease became a predominant part of burlesque. Prohibition and a crack down on burlesque theaters started the decline of burlesque in America in the 1940's. The 1990's saw the formation of the "Neo-burlesque" movement, which pioneered the revival and updating of the traditions of burlesque. Where striptease is involved, which it most often is, the emphasis is on the tease rather than the strip and most often performers only go down to G-string and pasties rather than full nudity.
What made you start dancing?
My RL Aunt started dancing in SL and she passed away in 2013. I decided that I wanted to dance to honor her. I saw a Miss Nude Contest and joined and met Kiki, from Kiki's House of Burlesque and asked to be a part of their troupe. She hired me. I have been with her troupe for 14 months now.
What sort of preparation goes into your routine?
Doing a dance routine in SL is very complex. A theme is chosen. Then I choose music. A stage set is created and built around the theme. A dancer will decide if her/his routine will be solo or group. Costumes will be designed. Dances will be chosen and then choreographed to the music. Then there will be a rehearsal and finally the big show where all of your hard work hopefully pays off and the audience delights in your performance.
