A Glamorous Life

In the famous words of Lady Gaga, “I don't think I could live without hair, makeup and styling, let alone be the performer I am. I am a glamour girl through and through. 

I believe in the glamorous life and I live one.”

This reporter plunged into a cascade of wonderment along with her sister who was soaking in every picture she took. Walking in to Chelsie’s lovely home, I expected to see a silhouette of Marlene Dietrich holding a fashionable cigarette holder. 

This is Chelsie’s story…

and oh what a glamorous story it is.

I saw this amazing Mistress chair in a club. I was attracted both to the animations, which were different from the Domme and Mistress chairs I already had, and to the fact that the chair was a fine piece of furniture that would fit into my two homes. I was particularly impressed with the ability to change textures...and wonderful textures they are! 

So I visited the shop, and was won over.

At this point I think I have everything in the store! I have a home that is multi-functional.

It serves as a comfortable home and, also serves as a place to explore DS and BDSM. On any day much of the time is spent talking to family or to visiting friends. The furniture needs to

fit these activities and fit the interior design of the home, and yet offer the opportunity for play as the occasion arises (which it often does). So my favorite items from WS are those that can serve dual purposes such as the Femdom living room suite - and they do so very well! In fact we have had custom texture packs created for the furniture to fit our homes better, and we have suggested modifications to the scripting of the furniture so that people initially adopt vanilla poses when sitting, with menus allowing them to move on to BDSM activities when the time is right. Viara implemented those as an update; and we are extremely happy with the furniture and with the superb customer service. We also have a skybox dungeon so this affords a place for more focused pieces from WS to come into play in our lives from there. 

I have always bought the pieces at the store, or pre-ordered from Viara personally. 

Therefore I have not rated any items on the Marketplace. I would be happy to do so; for most it would be the maximum number of stars possible.    

    I initially came to SL for a RL/SL business opportunity, and stayed  (for over 10 years) because it is a unique environment in which one can create their own world and interact with others in it. I love to build, to create Sims, to interact with and meet new people that I would never meet in RL, and have formed lifetime friendships and have experienced love here. BDSM has played a central role in this ten year life, as has LGBT exploration. I like to balance that with friendship and pursuits such as sailing, dancing at Frank's Elite, holding parties at my new Sim. The items at WS are perfect for me to create a home environment to balance the two. 

     The beauty of SL is that, like RL, it is the surprises that define who and what we become. While changes occur all of the time, I have not changed much in the years I have been here. I currently have a bewilderingly rich life with amazing close friends, a wonderful wife (well two), with three Mistresses, and four families. There have been disappointments along the way but one picks oneself up and goes on! I suppose new full homestead Sim is a bit different from my first 512 square meter bit of land, and the opportunities to create content is very richly enhanced from the early days of SL but this only makes it more fun here. I would never give up the experiences, those who have touched my heart, and the memories I have had (with one exception, but haven't we all at least one). I expect the future to be even more wonderful. 

Much of that time will be spent on WS furniture! 

In short - every day is an ideal day.   

      I seem very skilled at falling in love, not always for the right person (LOL). I think now I have this down and am finally blessed with a perfect life. I’m pretty good at building, and have had furniture and other shops. I enjoy business in RL, and initially came for a RL/SL business opportunity that flew high and crashed when the stock market did. I love to and am pretty good at creating Sims and environments. What do I love to do? I love fashion and admire those who create it. I love meeting new people, and spending time with those I love. I love to explore SL, to experience other people's dreams and how they express those dreams here. I enjoy Art and Music; performance art, sailing, and discussions ranging from science to literature to parody to BDSM and LGBT issues. 

Most of all I love spending time with the people I love.

My "Family" is very important to me. I’m not sure where the formal boundaries are between friends and family. A year ago my life was simple, with one wife/Mistress and a small family of my sisters <her subs>. When the marriage of three years dissolved, I gathered those around me that I could trust and spend time while I grieved putting three wonderful Dommes on my collar for "protection". This was to be temporary, to help me get over the past and look to the future. By the time I was ready for the future I had grown very close to the three Dommes- so I asked them to make the arrangement permanent. We did.... So now I have three Mistresses and their families as my own. One asked me to marry her.... which i did; and to not exclude her RL sub, we then had a second marriage to form a three-way bond (why not.. this is SL). 

Close friends have come to join us as well; including my first wife in SL who lives with us when not in GOR, and others. We reach out to help those who find themselves without a home or in need of our help. We take them in until they are back on their feet.

It is a very rich and wonderful group of people, and I am truly blessed!

Porn…SL Porn….Really?  Well, yes there is such a thing and it’s growing in popularity, in leaps and bounds.

I asked Thorgal how he heard of WS Creations. He responded by saying,

“I was looking for a nice F/m chair/throne kinda item for this movie I had in my mind. Since I didn’t own a chair like that myself I asked around. Several friends from the adult-movie-groups offered me theirs to borrow and one of them suggested I contact WS Creations. “I came to SL a long time ago. That's still my main requirement on here. It's all fun and pixels - when that stops I'm out of here... “

This reporter then went on to ask, “How did you get into Machinima?”

“Me and a SL friends explored and ended up at the set of an SL porn movie (read all about this on: http://virtualimmaturity.blogspot.nl/2010/09/thor-and-auri-make-porno.html). When we saw the result I decided I could do better then that.... so I went and found out what was needed and just started. “

Still captivated I went on to ask, “Tell us what goes into making these movies?”

“The basic process is pretty simple... think of a concept or story, build a set and get a few avatars together. Then remember to turn off all your huds , UI and start shooting footage using some software called FRAPS. Make sure you shoot plenty and then edit it all together in movie producing software, Transitions, soundtracks, effect, text... wrap it all up - create the movie-file and upload it for the world to enjoy :) “

Can you tell us about "Take me to Church"?  What was your reason to use the WS Creations Domination Throne for the movie? 

“Well like a lot of my shorter movies - I liked the song and it put these domination images in my head. Listening to the lyrics it had to be a female Domme. I originally wanted to shoot months ago at the church on Retroville with another model but I got delayed because of some RL stuff. When I did find time Retroville disappeared and the model wasn't online when I was. So I put together my own church set and put out a call/notice for a new model. I asked around for a good F/m chair and a friend told me WS creations had some great stuff... and they had :)”

Reverie in Green

I am exhausted. As I look around, I see a great big mess and I sigh. It's only my second week on the job, and tonight was absolutely insane. They warned me, of course, that the St Paddy's day celebrations in an Irish pub could get a little messy, but I never, ever expected something like this. The small pub was crammed with dancing and laughing and chatting and mainly drunk people. The atmosphere was great, and as I pushed my way through the crowd with pints of Guinness I was applauded and hugged. 

The first light of the morning streams through the windows now, and I remember the last girl being dragged out the door by her boyfriend. I'm fairly sure that the green pump I see left between the mess of barstools is hers, and I remind myself to keep it safe behind the bar - I'm sure she'll come and ask for it. 

I feel a pair of eyes on me as I scrub the biggest stains on the floor and I look up, smiling at Gemma. She's been at this for a while now, and did a fabulous job behind the bar tonight. You can look into someone’s eyes and think you know their story. Here’s one of those stories, which has put this writer in awe, as told by Riddick. 

As everyone already knows it is extremely hard to find a good variety of FemDom furniture that combines both visual quality and realistic animation variety. I went on an hours long search through the entire grid teleporting from store to store desperately trying to find good furniture to decorate my home for my owner, back when I was a submissive. That is how I came across WS Creations, I heard rumors from friends that the products there were of good quality so I decided to check for myself, and I am immensely glad that I did. WS has quickly become my favorite lifestyle furniture store.  

I was highly impressed by the quality of the builds and instantly started purchasing all of their FemDom products and have not regretted a moment of it. I used them extensively and have had very few problems. I have since purchased their Maledom items as well and enjoy them just as much. Any problem I did have was taken care of usually within a day or less. The animations are fluid, the items look good in any situation and are customizable to suit any need. There is not another store that I can find in the whole grid that offers top quality animations, extensive animation variety, customizable products, and instant customer service all in one package.   

I can’t honestly remember if I rated any WS Products, I normally purchase everything I need in world, especially furniture. I never buy furniture on Marketplace without testing the Demo in world first. However If I did happen to purchase and rate it then I am 100% sure I gave it 5 stars. The quality of WS products reflects the amount of work and care that went into the creations. A lot of stores you go to you can look at a piece of furniture and see by the texture quality and haphazard animation menu that it was thrown together in a hurry to get it on the sales floor. That is not the case with WS and that’s one of the things I like about them. You can look at their product and just know that you purchased something worth having.  

Originally I came to SL more out of curiosity than anything. I have always been an old fashion kinda guy and enjoyed life as it came. Before my injuries I was very physical, going out camping, shooting, partying and hanging with friends. I was never home and always on the move, certainly not interested in anything online. I never even visited my first website until sometime in late 2007, Due to certain things I was forced to stay at home more than was normal for me so I purchased a computer took to the internet that I had been hearing so much about. I played in various online role-play places. One day someone told me about SL so I decided to create an avi and see what it was about. The first 5 minutes I was in SL I was following the tutorial and suddenly I was FLYING. Well that was it, I thought I was a superhero then, I was hooked. Been in SL ever since and never looked back and have met many very dear friends here. 

I thought maybe I would visit this new game called Second Life and it would be like all the others. People sitting around typing with static avatars stuck in single poses. Most 3D chats on the Internet are little more than glorified chat boxes. Second Life was the first one I experienced that chat was secondary to game quality. You could move around in an open world that was amazing to me. Joining Second Life I thought it would be just a few hours of fun when I’m bored and I would move on. I never once expected to meet so many wonderful people and build such strong friendships.  

Orson Scott Card once said, "Changing the world is good for those who want their names in books. But being happy, that is for those who write their names in the lives of others, and hold the hearts of others as their treasures most dear," These words resonated with me when I first read them because it is how I choose to live. I do many things in SL but an ideal day to me is being close to the people I care about. Spending time with people I have grown to love and cherish here. Whether we go shopping, dancing, exploring, or simply relaxing on our private land that is what makes me the happiest, being with them and creating new memories. Anyone who says it’s impossible to love someone through SL that you have never seen or met RL is fooling themselves and fooling others. Some of the people you meet here will be with you for the rest of your life.  

I have limited skills in a few different areas pertaining to SL. I am an amateur mesh creator using outside 3D programs. I have created many quality textures and pictures for SL. I have dabbed a little at scripting but didn't find it was my cup of tea. I have tried my hand at being a dancer, a stripper, a businessman, a Dominant, a submissive, and many many other things. I prefer to spend my time outside my SL family creating things but I am moderate at best. Robert Greene said it best "I'm a Jack of all trades but a Master of none.    

Finding ones passion is not easy; sometimes it can be a long road with many pitfalls. It can be tough and take a lot out of a person chasing their passion sometimes to the point of obsession. Some things that people view as a strength can be their biggest weakness. Take for example the fact that some people like myself like to stand on their own two feet, fight for what they want, so when they achieve their goal they can stand proudly and say "I did this, I fought for this, I made this happen" But the flaw in that is the fact that often they stand alone when they finally find their way. They try so hard to do it on their own that that’s exactly where they end up. That is my biggest fear, that I am to stubborn to allow someone else to help me with my passions and try to hard to do it on my own and end up without anyone. What good is winning and reaching the apex of ones passion if nobody is there with you to share it with. 

As some of the WS Staff can attest, I am a complete and utter perv. I enjoy many aspects of the lifestyle I choose. Sometimes I am a Dominant, sometimes a submissive, other times just a kinkster among many. My private home is a place for my family and I to indulge in all the naughty, kinky, deprave acts that would leave us red faced and shamed in public sims. So any home that I have is always well endowed with various furniture and items to help us meet those ends. And I have to say that no matter what house I live in there is always WS Creations somewhere in the mix. Having a home without WS products adorning our fun rooms is like having an Italian restaurant without noodles. I’m sure it can be done but seriously, what’s the point.

Purple Haze

The deep array of sensual purple swept me away, along with the gothic appeal of the room and the essence of the woman that goes by the name, “Rulette”. 

She was gifted a WS Creations Mistress chair by a friend. “I was quite impressed with my Mistress chair so thought I would check out the in-world store, and now I have a small but growing collection.” she tells me.

Rulette was brought to SL by a friend from another remaining un-named online world.
She goes on to say “The opportunities in SL to do basically anything, means I live a rather peaceful SL life, as I am lazy and avoid a lot that involves too much effort.” 

She has a partner and some really good trusted friends. As the interview goes on, I learn she is also a co-owner and manager of an airport. “A small but pretty airport in Eden Estate with my Partner and another good most trusted friend and spread my time between sailing, flying and shopping among various other activities." she says.

Tortuga Bay is a small community in South West Eden.
Over the decades it has seen many changes. Visited by traders, smugglers and pirates.
Since the war when the military built an airstrip, the island is now a flourishing tourist destination. 

“The airport was the idea of my partner and her friend, we all enjoy flying and the idea of building something from the ground up was really kinda exciting.”

Her journey, her life here in SL took many turns, as she did not expect to be where she is today. Rulette’s ideal day as she puts it would be, “Any day with my lovely partner, the rest of the details don't matter.” She says she is a procrastinator, though I see nothing of this in her actions today. 

“I can surprise myself at times in the search for passion, exploring things that most would deem taboo. Everyone has limits. Just how deep the rabbit hole can be....”, is her response when asked about her fears, her passion. 

Does the WS Creations poses help satisfy some of those taboos?  She replied, “The WS Creation poses have, in regards to the BDSM kinks, yes.”  “I'm a little kinky at times.  My partner and I have found the poses in WS furniture fit us.  There is that feeling we get, when we are in a pose and it's just.. comfy."

A Valentine's Date with Destiny

HER

Our date is amazing, romantic and sweet, like he is. His hands on my waist, holding me close. His eyes on me, searching my face, my features, drinking me in. I know I am being cheeky but he smiles and kisses me deeply, twirling me around the dance floor, so I'm not worried.

How did you feel dancing at WS Creations for their Grand Re-opening?

 I was very honored to have been asked to perform and showcase Miss Viara's wonderful design's. She has created some very special piece's and dancing around the store was a very exciting experience for me. I was a bit nervous at the first showing but things ran smoothly after all the kinks were worked out..grins. It was a bit different than dancing on stage but something I would certainly do again. I believe it was a success!

What is Burlesque dancing?

Burlesque dancing has a very rich history. The word “burlesque” comes from the Spanish or Italian word "burla" which means to mock, trick, or joke. The original use of the word burlesque was seen in the 16th and 17th century to describe parodies, and grotesque or ridiculous imitations, often of authors or artists of the time. In the late 19th century, shows featuring what we now call "striptease" started appearing simultaneously and independently in both America and Paris. In the 1920's and 30's striptease became a predominant part of burlesque. Prohibition and a crack down on burlesque theaters started the decline of burlesque in America in the 1940's. The 1990's saw the formation of the "Neo-burlesque" movement, which pioneered the revival and updating of the traditions of burlesque. Where striptease is involved, which it most often is, the emphasis is on the tease rather than the strip and most often performers only go down to G-string and pasties rather than full nudity.

What made you start dancing? 

My RL Aunt started dancing in SL and she passed away in 2013. I decided that I wanted to dance to honor her. I saw a Miss Nude Contest and joined and met Kiki, from Kiki's House of Burlesque and asked to be a part of their troupe. She hired me. I have been with her troupe for 14 months now.

What sort of preparation goes into your routine?  

Doing a dance routine in SL is very complex. A theme is chosen. Then I choose music. A stage set is created and built around the theme. A dancer will decide if her/his routine will be solo or group. Costumes will be designed. Dances will be chosen and then choreographed to the music. Then there will be a rehearsal and finally the big show where all of your hard work hopefully pays off and the audience delights in your performance.
